His own house, which began life as a small barn, won first prize in the Countryside Design Competition run by the RIBA Wessex & Southwest Regions and the Royal Bath & West of England Society in the category of ‘conversion, alteration and extension of existing rural buildings’.

As a contribution to his own local community he has designed and built a new village hall for Oaksey that was successful in gaining Millennium Project Funding and was formally opened by HRH Prince Charles in September 2000.

Current projects include educational, retail, residential and commercial developments some of which involve sites and buildings in conservation areas in London, Bath and Cheltenham, each requiring delicate negotiations with Local Authorities and Listed Building advisors.
